What's up? We are related (Drushel-wise, though the name was originally Trushel) The only problem I forsee with sex changes is the havoc it's gonna wreck on subsequent generations of family archivists. Although, perhaps those future days will be sufficiently enlightened to where most family tree softwares are pre-programmed for such modifications.

You don't even know how much more family you have!

Otherwise, I would check the various Ontario Loyalists books for information about your John and Anna Boyer. It is certainly the right time period and area for a Loyalist family.

I am researching the Boyer family from Jerome, Ohio and from Plain City, Ohio. Earl Francis Boyer was married to Jesse Lenora Cosgray on the 30th of September 1897 in Plain City, Ohio Methodist church. Jesse was born in 1878 or 1879 in Dublin, Ohio and Earl was born in Chillicothe, Ohio in 1879. They had 6 children: OW Robinson from Pontiac Michigan, Walter D. I have found no JamesBoyer@aol.com who does searches for the Association of American Boyers. Please tell me, is there a web site where people go to contribute their Boyer family tree lines that also connect to other Boyer lines??? Wesnocs@aol.com

A recent search of the web gave only the aol email address and boyerj@conquest.witcc.cc.ia.us . Since people do change email addresses, it is very possible James Boyer is no longer using the aol address. As for a web site for the Boyer association, there was none at that time. However, that doesn't mean there won't be an association site shortly what with the speed the internet is growing. If all else fails, you can do what I did a decade ago -- use surface mail to contact the organization.

I am looking for a Joseph E. Boyer. I have very little information. I do know that he is from the Philadelphia PA area. He was married to Blanche Candelet in June 1935. I have a large walnut chest found in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania that has the following inscription in the lid: BUILD 1770 BUILD OCT 8 1770 OCT 3 4 5 7 8 1770 FOR J I ZEIDERS BY R J BOYER. Chest is solid walnut, dove tailed and beautiful. In Sept. of 99 the Harrisburg Patriot News carried an article about Todd Milano, president of Central Pennsylvania College, who had purchased the old "Boyer Farm" on Valley road in East Pennsboro, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. I am looking for Samuel Boyer, father of Isaac Boyer, Hamilton County Illinois. According to the 1960 Hamilton County Census, Isaac Boyer came from Tennessee, and so probably Samuel does as well. Samuel purchased land in Hamilton County in 1838, and I believe that he died in 1839. Isaac married Mary Denny and had the following children: George W, Robert N., William Isaac, Amanda, and Page. I am trying to find the ancestors of John Godlieb Boyer, but have had no luck. He was born in 1762 and died in 1833 in Kentucky. He married Ann Mary Zealer in 1786. I believe he was from Frederick County Md. and came to Fayette County Kentucky before 1807. He was a private in Captain White's company in the Revolutionary War. His known children were: Mary b. 1787 Anna Margaret b. 1788 (my relative, buried Lexington Cemetery, Lexington Kentucky) Ezra b. 1790 Henry b. 1791 Jacob b. 1793 William b. 1794. I believe he had another son named Alfred Zealer Boyer (date of birth unknown), who I believe is in 'American Boyers' on page 294 (based upon Genealogy.com). His second wife was Zerelda McCoy. I do not have access to the 'American Boyers' by Charles C. Boyer. Any assistance or advice would be greatly appreciated

Looking for information on a Henry Boyer (born about 1820) who lived in Cussewago twp, Crawford county PA. from 1860 through the 1880 census. Henry died prior to the 1900 census as his widow, Lucy Ann Deeter (a daughter of Leonard Deitrich)is then found in Hayfield twp. Crawford county PA. living with a son after that. Lucy died in 1908. I am looking for death date, obit and parents of Henry. Also, in neighboring Hayfield twp. for the 1850 census there is an Abraham Boyer (age 73) and May (possibly Mary) (age 74) with Joseph Boyer (age 44). Abraham is also listed in the 1840 Federal Census for Hayfield. I don't know if Henry is related to these others as he's not found on the 1850 census in this area. Denise, I am doing some research on Charles Boyer of Sorel, Quebec, who was a North West fur trader in the 1700's. He started Boyer's Post in 1788 close to what is now Ft. Vermilion, Alberta, Canada. BOYER, JOSEPH: My Boyer brick wall is that I have a Joseph Boyer, born in Canada about 1853 who could be my Gr Gr Grandfather. This comes from the 1880 census of Ogdensburg, St Lawrence County NY. Joseph Boyer lives with wife Mary born Canada 1856, she is possibly a Gareau. Also listed is their son Joseph 4 who I believe is my Great Grandfather. The major problem is that my Great Grandfather Joseph(Gareau)Grow was not raised as a Boyer but as a Gareau/Garrow from Ogdensburg, later changing his name to Grow. I have a death certificate for an Azilda Boyer spouse of Joseph Boyer who dies in Ogdensburg in 1882 age 26. On this certificate her parents are listed as Joseph and Louise Gareau. No marriage record can be found for them so far. I only have a letter from Joseph Grows daughter that claims she was told by his cousin Mary Demers from Ogdensburg that his father was a Boyer but that he was either abandoned before or just given to his Gareau Grandparents when his mother died. Without another name but Joseph it is difficult to find anything else out on my Boyer. Looking for John Boyer b abt 1795 in Pennsylvania who was living in Thorn, Perry Co. Ohio circa 1840-1850 and married to Lydia. Hi everyone: I am looking for any information that would pertain to the Boyers who built the Flour Mill on what is now known as Boyers Mill Road in New Market Maryland. I believe the name was Burnt Mills. It was built on what is now known as Linganore Lake. I want to say that the person who built it was Adam or Peter Boyer. I'm looking for Ancestors and Decendents. I am trying to locate the Samuel Boyer line in Hamilton County, Illinois. Samuel apparently purchased land there in 1838 and then seems to have disappeared. His son Isaac remained in Illinois. Hello,
My name is Jamie Burks and I found this site through a high school website. I have been desperatly looking for a friend of my from High School. His name is Heath Boyer and both our fathers and his mother served in the military and were stationed in Berlin, Germany in the 1980's. Heath attended BAHS while I went to JFK. Heath has a little sister named Denise and his mother's name I belive was Pat?, not totally sure about that, but I think that is right, but I can not remember his dad's name--maybe Richard? Anyway, if anyone could help me locate him I would appreciate it. I believe his family was stationed in Washington State prior being transferred to Berlin. Last I heard about Heath was that he was sent to serve in the Gulf War. I believe he could be married.
Please let me know anything you may know about Heath or even his sister, she was on the swim team, if that helps in locating Heath.

I was just curious to find out about this banknote, for a loan, I have from the 1700's. The signature on the note is a Peter Boyer, dated march 18th, 1780 for eight dollars. From the state of Massachusetts. It was given to me 15 or so, years ago. One of the Peter Boyer sites i found, stated he may have been a fur trader.

The other Boyer's, on this site, would probably be interested as well.

His father was Silas Monroe Boyer born November 14,1831. Silas' father was William Fleming Boyer. William married Elizabeth A Adanner in French Virginia. That is as far back as I have gotten so far. You gave this address on the Parenteau family website and added that you know of the Batosche Parenteaus. I've hit the wall trying to find information about Alice Parenteau, daughter of Patrice and Philomene. She was my mother in law's mother. In all the trees regarding Patrice and Philomene's children, Alice is NOT listed and neither is Eda her sister who was close in age.
In photos we have of her, she is lovely and has distinct native features...so NOW we're wondering if she was a native child who was absorbed into the family. Could that be why she's not listed in the family trees I find. Alice was born in l893 and died in Great Falls, Montana in l928. She had married Edward Canton and Frances Enda Canton <Conzatti> was their only surviving child. Edward "vanished" when Fran was about five years of age. She was told he died...yet Alice divorced him several years later, not knowing where he was. Fran has memories of going to Canada and staying with Philomene at their family home. She recalls that an old beau wanted Alice to marry him and that Alice and Fran then left and returned to Wyoming and Montana. Fran is now 88, frail and failing and has this end of life need to find more information on her mother. It was a very difficult life for the two of them, hand to mouth and Fran often was put into an orphanage for months at a time while Alice looked for work. <that is her memory of their transient life>.
Anyway..........could Alice have been adopted?

One of his daughters, Mary Jane Boyers Jenkins is my gggrandmother, she is one of the children that moved with him. There seems to be an inordinate number and great diversity as far as geographical locations among the Boyers. On this site, I haven’t seen many from Virginia but would like to relate an event that happened to me this past weekend, 16 July 2005. A friend and I attended an estate auction in the Shenandoah Valley and as it turned out, was the Boyer Family from the Fort Valley (Seven Fountains) area of Virginia. Much everything there brought a far higher price than I could afford, however a friend of mine had found a small pocket bible dated 1862 in a box of books and he wanted it to research whether it was carried by a civil war soldier, so, he and I and another lady bartered over that box of books that included several bibles and school and geography books published anywhere from 1835 to 1881. Most of the books and bibles had Boyer names inside of them. Of note was a Bible, dated 1835 and on the inside rear cover was the name Samuel Boyer, August, 1838. I also came across a really fragile book, Name of the book was “ The Hive: or, a collection of thoughts on civil, moral, sentimental, and religious subjects." Intended as a Repository of Sententious, Ingenious, and Pertinent Sayings. In Prose and Verse. Several publishers issued this title between 1803 and 1814. Published by Brattleborough, Vermont: by William Fessenden, 1803-1814. This one didn’t have a name in it but it came from the Boyer estate. There were geography books that had Samuel Boyers name in it, dated 1881, one from 1860 also with his name in it. I have one bible that has a note inside that says rewarded to Dorothy Boyer for remembering verses, X-mas, 1920. I’m not a Boyer but am curious as to whether any of you out there are related to that family from the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia?

BOYER, Benjamin

born May 22, 1838 in Berlin, PA
died July 31, 1923 in Ridott, IL

He fought in the Civil War and was wounded in the Battle of Bull Run. He married Susan Crosby who was born Feb. 22, 1837 and died in Ridott, IL on Aug. 21, 1906.

I am looking for information about his father, Joseph P. Boyer, and mother, Catherine Burget.

I really have nothing to do with the geneology of the BOYER family but i was doing some personal research On Joseph Boyer. I was wondering if anyone was a decendent of his i found his name and dates on something my sister's Boyfriends stepfather had and i was curious.

Joseph e. BOYER ( 1848-1930 ) he was the third president of an American Athrimometer (sp?) company better known as Boroughs adding machine company. They originated in st.louis and later moved to detroit. I was just wondering if anyone here was related to him. Just to satisfy my curiosity.

Was wondering if anyone knows the parentage of John George Boyer b.22 Jan 1780 in ,Berks, Pennsylvania.

Died 2 Mar 1855 in Montgomery,Ohio.

He marred Gertrude Scheaffer of PA.

I believe him moved his family to the Ohio area about 1806.

They had 10 children, Catherine,Sarah,William,Mary Ann,John George,Michael,Anna and Jacob.

My line continues through their daughter Mary Ann who married John Coleman in 1835 in Montgomery Co. Ohio.
