Hello, my name is John Fritch as well. My Dad's family is from Montana. He moved to Campbell, Ca back in the fifties. Not sure if there is connection.

John Fritch

Hi John. Thanks for stopping in. Could your father's family have moved in from North Dakota (the Valley City area of Barnes County)? If so, then you are related to my line of the family. Various members of the family migrated from Oxford County, Ontario into Eastern Michigan between 1878 and 1900. From there, five members of that family migrated on to North Dakota. I have the data from the five families as recorded in the 1920 Census. As you left no email address, I would certainly appreciate hearing directly from you.

Denise,

Thanks for responding so quickly! I am excited at the prospect of finding the ancestors of my husband. We would very much like to tell Dominick his background. If you are putting Domie in your records, his date of birth is 12-24-97. My own parents are Joseph Smith III and Carol Ann Smith (Porter) of Lansing, MI. I would like to ask you a question. Since we rarely speak to Dorothy, could you tell us about the great grandparents, who they were and their names. I have very little to go on. I don't even know Dorothy's late husbands name. This side of the family doesn't talk a whole lot. Thanks again for all your help.

I am looking for parents, ancestors and relatives of John G. Fritchey born 1852 died 1922 in USA was married to Hester E. Boots bborn 1859 died 1942 in USA they lived in Van Buren Crawford CO Arkansas USA. I am to Fritchey is also often spelled as Fritch, Fritche, Fritsch, Fritsche, Fritchie, Fritchy, Frutchey, Fruchey, Frutshie that even my gggrandfather even signed it different from time to time. I was told 6 ( others say 3 some 5) brothers came over from Germany together and some stayed in USA others went to Canada (the # of who stayed and who went differs as well). Some say over a disagreement which caused some to change the spelling of the name, possibly over the loyalist oath and war. If you have any info on the family prior to their arrival to Canada and family and this story please contact me Carroll-Lisa Malone (nee Fritchey)

In what locality (city? county? state/province? country?) was the document made? What is the nature/type of the document? Without a bit more identifying information I am really not able to provide any information. Just too many possibilities.

I have a picture of Charles and William FRITCH at the ages of 4 and 6 in 1880 taken at W.R. Babcocks's Fine Art Gallery, 235 Summit St. Toledo, OH. I also have what appears to be a reunion picture with Charles FRITCH as the patriarch taken in 1938. This picture identifies the following people: Auva WOODSIDE - Rushville, OH Helen DEVINE - niece Toledo John BELLICK - nephew Toledo Sister Bert MUDGE - Toledo Nevin WOODSIDE & Mother - Rushville, OH Leona & Bill MUDGE - Toledo Charles FRITCH - Toledo From the pictures, I would guess Auva and Bert to be sisters of Charles. I would love to hear from anyone else researching this line. Denise Woodside

My Great Grand Mother was Josephine Fritch married to William L. Hutchinson in Ohio. He was born in Westmorland County England April April 12, 1824. One of their daughters, Mary born 1851 in Ohio. Then Kate 1853 and my Grand Father George Andrew Hutchinson 1855. I'm not sure who the other children were. George said his mother came from Alsaz (spelling?) Lorraine France. I found a William Hutchinson and Mary Josephine Fritch married in Ross, Ohio June 20, 1850. I assume this might be them. Does anyone know who Mary Josephine Fritch parents were? Or a suggestion of where to find records for the Ross, Ohio area? Sincerely, Tom Hutchinson

Would like to know who Amanda Fritch's parents were. She is listed on an 1880 Census as a niece of Henry and Henrietta (nee Lichty) Balliet in Mifflin Twp., Richland co., OH. I am mainly interested in the Lichty connection. In particular, Peter and Catharine Lichty family. Amanda Fritch was 40 years old on the 1880 Census. Thanks, Shirley Miller, Ozark, AL

I entered an inquery back in 3-5-2004 concerning Amanda Fritch.  I have located who her mother was.  Her name is Julia (Lichty) Fritch, Fritz, etc.  There are so many spellings it can be confusing.  Amanda's father is supposed to be Samuel Fritz but cannot find anything on him after 1840.  He was living in Orange Twp., Delaware Co., OH at the time.  The next census is 1850 in Madison, Richland, OH and Samuel is not listed.  They have Julia Fite instead of Fritz and her age is incorrect but the children's names and ages are correct.  She is either divorced or widowed.  On the 1860 census her name is spelled Frich and is living with her parents Peter and Catharine Lichty in Madison, Richland, OH.  In 1880, Julia is living with her daughter Florinda Wentz and the name is spelled Fritz.  I do not know where she is buried or date of death.

Probably not. I suspect your Fritch line comes from early settlement in Northeastern Ohio. If you check the 1900 - 1930 census records for your ancestors, you will find a listing for their state of birth. That state of birth location will help in tracing your Fritch line.

Dallas, TX (Unknown to Present)

Seeking information about a certain string of Fritches which include, but aren't limited to, Charles Edward Fritch (deceased), Bridget/Birdie Fritch (deceased), H.T. Fritch, John C. Fritch, Larry Fritch and Joddy Fritch.  As far as I can tell they all live in the Dallas area.

Here is my predicament.  I have found a 20 year old box of Fritch family documents in the archive room of my mother's recently purchased CPA firm.  The box contains family photos, death certificates and other original documents.  I'm not heartless enough to throw them away, but I have no contact information.  I'd like to find any living member of this family to return the materials.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Warm regards,
Vanessa Reams

not interesting for your search, but my friends call me fritchy. they thought they made it up. its a combination of my first name, and what some people think i can be. hopefully, that gave you a giggle.i am looking for the name frirtchy an merchandise, especially clothing. when i was in the poconos last year i caught a glimpse of a work truck with the name on the side. i think their business had something to do with mechanical lubrication. i just tried <url deleted> also. its a porn site. who knew. . if you know of any merchandise im looking for, and have the time, send info to me, please, at good luck in your search. thanks

Note: Yes, there is a Fritch company in Bethlehem, PA, a 20-year company selling in lubricants. There is also Fritch, Texas and once was Fritch, Michigan about 1900. There is a Fritch Creek in the costal foothills of the San Francisco Bay Area along with a Fritch Ranch near Monterey, California. In Valley City, North Dakota is a Fritch store (produce I believe) and Fritch Brothers Silversmiths in Morro Bay, California.

Daniel and Frederick Fritsch and one sister Mrs. Stahl came to America from Alsace France or Germany in about 1831. There were several brothers and sisters still living in Europe. David married Betsy Knedler and the family lived Illinois. Looking for information about Alsace-Lorraine branch. Any help would be appreciated.

Have before me a picture of the Fritch sisters: Emma, Freda, Myrtle, Grace, and Fern taken in 1938 while visiting Emma's daughter's farm in Elgin County, Ontario. These sisters lived in and around Deckerville, Michigan. Would like to know more about this Fritch family. I have more photos and information about Emma's children if you are interested.
