Hi John. Thanks for stopping in. Could your father's family have moved in from North Dakota (the Valley City area of Barnes County)? If so, then you are related to my line of the family. Various members of the family migrated from Oxford County, Ontario into Eastern Michigan between 1878 and 1900. From there, five members of that family migrated on to North Dakota. I have the data from the five families as recorded in the 1920 Census. As you left no email address, I would certainly appreciate hearing directly from you.

Looking for information on my grandmothers family. Mother's name was Florance Ella Fritch born 1890 in Ontario, Canada. Sister Maude, brother Charles? Florance married James Walker Williams, had 1 daughter (my grandmother) Dorothy Catherine Williams born May 5, 1910. Florance died March 22, 1919 in Niagara Falls, Ontario of TB. Thanks for responding so quickly! I am excited at the prospect of finding the ancestors of my husband. We would very much like to tell Dominick his background. If you are putting Domie in your records, his date of birth is 12-24-97. My own parents are Joseph Smith III and Carol Ann Smith (Porter) of Lansing, MI. I would like to ask you a question. Since we rarely speak to Dorothy, could you tell us about the great grandparents, who they were and their names. I have very little to go on. I don't even know Dorothy's late husbands name. I am looking for a man that was named Raymond Fritch that was in Korea around 1950-1951. He was in the military. I am also looking for the woman that had his baby in Korea. The baby was born in March 13 1951. He lived with his grandmother until she died. Then he was brought to the united states. Raymond Fritch became Raymond Lavatta. I am looking for parents, ancestors and relatives of John G. Fritchey born 1852 died 1922 in USA was married to Hester E. Boots bborn 1859 died 1942 in USA they lived in Van Buren Crawford CO Arkansas USA. I am to Fritchey is also often spelled as Fritch, Fritche, Fritsch, Fritsche, Fritchie, Fritchy, Frutchey, Fruchey, Frutshie that even my gggrandfather even signed it different from time to time. I was told 6 ( others say 3 some 5) brothers came over from Germany together and some stayed in USA others went to Canada (the # of who stayed and who went differs as well). Some say over a disagreement which caused some to change the spelling of the name, possibly over the loyalist oath and war. I have a picture of Charles and William FRITCH at the ages of 4 and 6 in 1880 taken at W.R. Babcocks's Fine Art Gallery, 235 Summit St. Toledo, OH. I also have what appears to be a reunion picture with Charles FRITCH as the patriarch taken in 1938. Hello I am Tom Kutz originally from Kutztown PA. My grandmother was Emma Fritch, and my great grandfaterh was Peter Fritch died 1926, not sure when born. He was from Longswamp township PA, near Kutztown PA. I am wondering which of the two Fritches from that area Maxatawney or Longswamp. My Great Grand Mother was Josephine Fritch married to William L. Hutchinson in Ohio. He was born in Westmorland County England April April 12, 1824. One of their daughters, Mary born 1851 in Ohio. Then Kate 1853 and my Grand Father George Andrew Hutchinson 1855. I'm not sure who the other children were. George said his mother came from Alsaz (spelling?) Lorraine France. Is there anyone that has record of the Fritch clan that was in Arkansas. My grandfather, Roscoe Owen Fritch and greatuncle, John Leslie Fritch were from the Homer/Winslow/Springdale area of Arkansas. My greatgrandfather was Banard Harrison Fritch. I am also looking for several cousins that I've lost track of in the the Santa Clara and Mountainview, California areas. my maiden name is fritch, my great grandfather was James Earl Fritch , My great grandmother was Prudia E. Russ they were married in monroe county indiana. i know myline of the fritch were orginally from brown county indiana and then moved to monroe & morgan counties in indiana. i wondered if we are from the same line. thank you very much.

Probably not. I suspect your Fritch line comes from early settlement in Northeastern Ohio. If you check the 1900 - 1930 census records for your ancestors, you will find a listing for their state of birth. That state of birth location will help in tracing your Fritch line.

I am looking for information about Sebastian Fritsch (1818-1899). His wife was Theresia Judith, and they had 8 children-5 boys and 3 girls. Childrens' names: William, Rose, Sarah, Charles, John, George, Frederick, Anna Mary. There are Fritch family in Winslow, AR. Winslow, AR is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the city's incorporation Sept. 16, 17,& 18, 2005. We have a committee that is putting together a history of the city and residents past and present. Any information that you would like to contribute to our book will be welcome. My name is Paul Fritch born in 1947 in Norman Oklahoma, My father is Leo Fritch born in 1925 in Richmond? Oklahoma, My grandfather is Herman Fritch born in 1890? Kansas?
an earlier ancestor is Frank Fritch DOB and birthplace unknown (prob Nebraska or Kansas).
My original Fritch Ancestor in America came from the CZECH Republic and settled in Nebraska. I think it was around the end of the civil war. My cousin has the family bible which sites birth place as Austria-Hungary.

Note: Yes, there is a Fritch company in Bethlehem, PA, a 20-year company selling in lubricants. There is also Fritch, Texas and once was Fritch, Michigan about 1900. There is a Fritch Creek in the costal foothills of the San Francisco Bay Area along with a Fritch Ranch near Monterey, California. In Valley City, North Dakota is a Fritch store (produce I believe) and Fritch Brothers Silversmiths in Morro Bay, California.

Daniel and Frederick Fritsch and one sister Mrs. Stahl came to America from Alsace France or Germany in about 1831. There were several brothers and sisters still living in Europe. Hello, I'm Leilani AUMERAN and I leave in Tahiti (French Polynesia) and I'm a descendant of Fritch family. My grandmother is Betty FRICTH-AMARU. Her father is Arthur FRICTH. She have 2 brothers (Homer FRICTH and Edgard FRITCH and 2 sisters (Grace FRITCH and Sarah FRITCH) Only Sarah and Betty still alive at this time. Arthur FRITCH moved to Boston before Betty's borned. Betty's mother name is Tetuaveroa AMARU. My grandmother have 6 children (1 boy and 5 girls). Edgard FRITCH had 2 boys (Hewlett and Edouard who was vice-president of french polynesia government last year).

We are making with my cousins our Fritch Genealogy in Tahiti. I was just looking around on internet Fritch family when I saw your forum. I'm very surprise and happy...

Have before me a picture of the Fritch sisters: Emma, Freda, Myrtle, Grace, and Fern taken in 1938 while visiting Emma's daughter's farm in Elgin County, Ontario. These sisters lived in and around Deckerville, Michigan. Would like to know more about this Fritch family. I have more photos and information about Emma's children if you are interested.
