Most reside around the small town of Westphalia, MI. Mike's mother is Dorothy Fritch. Any information on this family is appreciated for our son, Dominick Fritch. Thanks. mjfritch@prodigy.net
CommentsDenise, Thanks for responding so quickly! I am excited at the prospect of finding the ancestors of my husband. We would very much like to tell Dominick his background. If you are putting Domie in your records, his date of birth is 12-24-97. My own parents are Joseph Smith III and Carol Ann Smith (Porter) of Lansing, MI. I would like to ask you a question. Since we rarely speak to Dorothy, could you tell us about the great grandparents, who they were and their names. I have very little to go on. I don't even know Dorothy's late husbands name. This side of the family doesn't talk a whole lot. Thanks again for all your help. JoAnn

I am to Fritchey is also often spelled as Fritch, Fritche, Fritsch, Fritsche, Fritchie, Fritchy, Frutchey, Fruchey, Frutshie that even my gggrandfather even signed it different from time to time. CommentsI have a picture of Charles and William FRITCH at the ages of 4 and 6 in 1880 taken at W.R. Babcocks's Fine Art Gallery, 235 Summit St. Toledo, OH. I also have what appears to be a reunion picture with Charles FRITCH as the patriarch taken in 1938. This picture identifies the following people: Auva WOODSIDE - Rushville, OH Helen DEVINE - niece Toledo John BELLICK - nephew Toledo Sister Bert MUDGE - Toledo Nevin WOODSIDE & Mother - Rushville, OH Leona & Bill MUDGE - Toledo Charles FRITCH - Toledo From the pictures, I would guess Auva and Bert to be sisters of Charles. I would love to hear from anyone else researching this line. Denise Woodside seek4fam@yahoo.com

I entered an inquery back in 3-5-2004
concerning Amanda Fritch. I have located who her mother was. Her name is
Julia (Lichty) Fritch, Fritz, etc. There are so many spellings it can be
confusing. Amanda's father is supposed to be Samuel Fritz but cannot find
anything on him after 1840. He was living in Orange Twp., Delaware Co., OH
at the time. The next census is 1850 in Madison, Richland, OH and Samuel is
not listed. They have Julia Fite instead of Fritz and her age is incorrect
but the children's names and ages are correct. She is either divorced or
widowed. On the 1860 census her name is spelled Frich and is living with
her parents Peter and Catharine Lichty in Madison, Richland, OH. In 1880,
Julia is living with her daughter Florinda Wentz and the name is spelled
Fritz. I do not know where she is buried or date of death.

Commentshello, I am a close friend of Aaron Fritch, and I was just wondering if its true that his late father Howie Fritch actually made Fantasy football what it is today, invented it in a sense. Commentsmy maiden name is fritch, my great grandfather was James Earl Fritch , My great grandmother was Prudia E. Russ they were married in monroe county indiana. i know myline of the fritch were orginally from brown county indiana and then moved to monroe & morgan counties in indiana. i wondered if we are from the same line. thank you very much. Probably not. I suspect your Fritch line comes from early settlement in Northeastern Ohio. If you check the 1900 - 1930 census records for your ancestors, you will find a listing for their state of birth. That state of birth location will help in tracing your Fritch line. Denise L. Seeking information about a certain string of Fritches which include, but
aren't limited to, Charles Edward Fritch (deceased), Bridget/Birdie Fritch
(deceased), H.T. Fritch, John C. Fritch, Larry Fritch and Joddy Fritch. As
far as I can tell they all live in the Dallas area.
Here is my predicament. I have found a 20 year old box of Fritch family
documents in the archive room of my mother's recently purchased CPA firm.
The box contains family photos, death certificates and other original
documents. I'm not heartless enough to throw them away, but I have no
contact information. I'd like to find any living member of this family to
return the materials. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Warm regards,
Vanessa Reams
